GastroEbre, the sweetest event on the gastronomic calendar returns in autumn 2023 to Flix
**The 6th edition of the event will take place from 22 to 24 October, with showcookings from more than a dozen sweet professionals, including Oriol Balaguer, Miquel Guarro, Àlex Lera, Lluc Crusellas and Albert Roca, among others. **
The town of Flix hosts the sixth edition of GastroEbre this October 2023, the professional event devoted to sweet cooking, desserts and pastry. The town's Mercat Municipal will be the stage and kitchen for 22, 23 and 24 October, where a dozen masters of the most irresistible preparations will deliver their masterclasses. Culinary demonstrations where pastry chefs assert the role of sweet cooking in gastronomy. In this edition of GastroEbre, traditional and creative cooking join forces across three days that will sweeten the whole town of Flix. Visitors can enjoy the tricks and secrets of great restaurant chefs, master pastry chefs and chocolatiers, and experts in artisan ice cream. The event opens on Sunday afternoon with a popular, traditional afternoon snack of fruit and chocolate coca, prepared by the town's master pastry chefs Pau Carranza of Pastisseria Larrossa and Llorenç Peral, pastry chef at the Gran Hotel Mas d'en Bruno. Both will first offer a showcooking demonstrating their mastery of the sweet arts. Also on Sunday, GastroEbre's stage will welcome Laura Zurriaga, known as @croquetadexocolata; and Oriol Balaguer, Best Pastry Chef 2018 by the International Academy of Gastronomy and International Relais Desserts, who returns to share his sensitivity, perception and creative sophistication with attendees. GastroEbre, made possible by the collaboration of DOP Oli Terra Alta and the Ajuntament de Flix, among others, also features other great names in sweet cooking: Miquel Guarro delivering a session on contemporary creative pastry; the "5-star" pastry from Josep Armenteros of restaurant Gaig in Barcelona; Paula Domènech, trainer at CETT Universitat, with a limits-free pastry session; Lucila Canero of La Luciérnaga in Castelldefels bringing natural pastry. The most chocolate-focused sessions will come from Lluc Crusellas, World's Best Master Chocolatier 2022, and Àlex Lera, Fava de Cacao Award 2020-2022. And the coldest showcooking, without a doubt, from Albert Roca, Spanish Champion of Artisan Gelato 2022.

Flix, on the Ribera d'Ebre, hosts the sixth GastroEbre in October 2023 at the Mercat Municipal.
