VenueLa Molina

On 7 and 8 April 2025, GastroPirineus celebrates its tenth anniversary at La Molina, consolidating its position as the benchmark event for mountain cooking. Over two intensive days, visitors can enjoy live cooking, demonstrations of local produce and outstanding food and wine.

GastroPirineus 2025, one of the flagship actions of Catalonia World Gastronomy Region 2025 (CRMG2025), will shine a spotlight on Pyrenean culinary collectives and gastronomic associations, reinforcing the culinary identity of the area. Participants include Cuina Alt Urgell, Cuina Pirinenca de la Cerdanya, La Xicoia (Pallars Sobirà) and the cooking teams from Vall de Núria and Vallter 2000, among others.

The event will feature, as always, leading stars of gastronomy. In this tenth edition, chef Joan Roca (Celler de Can Roca) will close the programme, while pastry chef Oriol Balaguer will bring an original creation to the event: the GastroPirineus tenth anniversary cake.

La Molina, the cradle of skiing in Catalonia, hosts the tenth edition of GastroPirineus on 7 and 8 April 2025. Ten years of live cooking in the Pyrenees: the anniversary is now held at 1,700 metres, in the Cerdanya, and the event debuts as a flagship action of Catalonia World Gastronomy Region 2025. Joan Roca, with El Celler de Can Roca always behind him, closes the event with a masterclass on evolution and routine. Oriol Balaguer signs the anniversary cake, a unique piece created for the occasion. Francina Rigat, from Pont 9 in Camprodon, champions the tradition that moves forward. Jaume Mora, from Fonda Farré in Baro, shows that the balance between heritage and avant-garde is not a contradiction: it is the craft. Ten years of produce, territory and living cuisine. GastroPirineus does not celebrate the number: it celebrates that the Pyrenees still have an appetite.
