Seu d’Urgell 2016

La Seu d'Urgell, capital of the Alt Urgell and gateway to the Pyrenees, hosts the first edition of GastroPirineus in March 2016. Three days to showcase a mountain cuisine born from the forest, livestock farming and denomination-of-origin products of the Pre-Pyrenees and the Catalan Pyrenees.

Fina Puigdevall, from Les Cols in Olot, and Oriol Rovira, from Els Casals in Sagàs, open the dialogue between tradition and modernity. Andreu Vidal, from Restaurant Casa Irene in the Val d'Aran, puts winter dishes at the centre of the scene. Nandu Jubany closes with a masterclass that sums up everything GastroPirineus wants to be: tradition that never ages.

First edition, first manifesto. The Pyrenees is a larder that has always been here: it just needs a stage to show it. GastroPirineus is, from now on, the best table.
