Puigcerdà 2020

Puigcerdà, capital of the Cerdanya, hosts GastroPirineus in October 2020 in the midst of the sector's recovery. An edition that opens with the Germans Torres from their Cocina Hermanos Torres in Barcelona, setting the tone for a programme that does not yield to circumstances.

Paco Pérez, from Miramar in Llançà, brings his star to the high plateau. Quim Casellas, from Casamar in Llafranc, links the Costa Brava with the Pyrenees in an avant-garde seafood cooking session. Carles Gaig, now based at the Hotel Torre del Remei in Bolvir, turns historic dishes into present- day arguments.

Jordi Roca closes the starred dinner and, along the way, reminds us that pastry and chocolate are also territory. October, Cerdanya, cooking with determination. GastroPirineus does not stop.
