Vall de Núria welcomes GastroPirineus again in May 2022. You get there by rack railway from Ribes de Freser, with a stop at Fontalba for breakfast — and to remember that the journey is already part of the experience.

Joel Castanyé, from La Boscana in Bellvís, opens with avant-garde cooking rooted in the Pyrenees. Pere Malagelada, from El Càntir in Calella de Palafrugell, weaves together extensive livestock farming, wine from the vineyards of Colera and a final dish in a single unforgettable session. Quim Casellas, from Casamar in Llafranc, serves a fisherman's suquet at 2,000 metres and leaves everyone speechless. Eli Farrero, from El Ventador in Barruera, makes her debut as revelation chef and walks away with the afternoon's ovation.

High mountain, deep cooking. The Ripollès cooks, the Aran adds warmth and the Eastern Pyrenees bring their accent. Seven years of GastroPirineus and the format never ages: the territory always has something new to say.
