October 2024, Roquetes. The Casal La Ravaleta hosts the first GastroCaça: a day dedicated to game cooking and the forests of Els Ports, where every dish speaks loudly of season and territory. Fran López, from Villa Retiro in Xerta, brings Delta duck to the casserole. Rafel Muria, from Quatre Molins in Cornudella, delivers a textbook hare à la royale. Eli Farrero brings Pallars roe deer all the way to the Baix Ebre. And Albert Boronat closes with a Cerdanya wild boar cooked his way at Colmado in Llívia. First edition, four chefs, four game pieces. The forests of Els Ports are starting to have a cuisine of their own.
